180 Office Culture & Community: Celebrating Pride

During June, many people share their pride regarding their sexualities, and the freedom they have to express their sexuality. Pride month is very popular amongst the LGBT community, and  helps to spread positivity within the community. There are many different organizations in Austin that endorse, or support the LGBT community. This pride month, we would like to take a moment to share a bit about one of the companies we work with, the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce.

The Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce started back in 1997 and “works to achieve equality and inclusion by promoting economic vitality in our communities and strengthening LGBT and ally businesses”. Over the years, they have done a lot of work to increase diversification, and uplift the LGBT community in Austin, Texas. Since the 90s, the company has been working to push boundaries and uplift voices. On their website, you can find a full list of their accomplishments from over the years.

Many companies in the Austin area endorse the LGBT Chamber of Commerce, which helps businesses in Austin that hold the same values to connect with each other. The Chamber of Commerce is able to spread their values and diversity through the area, as well as introduce like-minded people and organizations. 

This pride, we wanted to help spread the word about an amazing organization in Austin, Texas, that works to uplift the voices of LGBT people. The Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce is able to help connect like-minded people, spread diversity, and continues to push for equality daily.
